All non-thesis students pursuing a master’s in Tourism and Recreation Management must work directly with their advisor to complete a Capstone Project, which serves as the exit requirement for the degree. The four major sections of the Capstone course include a statement of purpose, professional documentation, an application of scholarship to practical setting, and the completion of an alumni information sheet. This project is the final step in the degree process and must be completed in the student’s final semester prior to graduation. The purpose of the Capstone Project is:
During the semester when you plan to graduate, you will be added to a Canvas site to submit your project. Your submission must be in accordance with APA 6th edition (e.g., cover page, table of contents, header, page numbering, section and subsection headings, margins, font, spacing). Failure to follow these instructions or the submission of plagiarized work may result in failure of the Capstone Project and a delay of your graduation.
